But sexyajax isn't a girl?.. Anyway, her reviews are among the most commented!.. Too bad they're always commented on negatively!.. :-)

"Do you like LaBrie's singing from Dream Theatre?" Absolutely yes!.. Le Brie pre-'95 was one of the greatest singers in the world, then he had that accident where he broke 3 vocal cords, and since then he hasn't sung like he used to (in the studio, of course, you can't tell, but live, unfortunately, you definitely can). Songs like "Another Day" and "Surrender" are truly unmissable, and back then he performed them just as brilliantly live: this is to say how much of a beast he was!.. Meanwhile, download something from Steelheart and then let me know...
Deep Purple Abandon

Album rated 3+, maximum 3.5; in fact, it’s not exactly the peak of DP, although I’m not sure if it’s their worst ever, maybe among the last three, but I don’t believe it’s the worst. And anyway, even the worst album by DP deserves a passing grade: considering that there are people who give 7/10 to Aqua and full scores to Eminem, or those who review and give 4-5 stars to Articolo 31 and Avril Lavigne...
Deep Purple California Jamming

It's certainly not "made in Japan," but still a spectacular concert. Better Gillian than Coverdale? I don't know: we're talking about two such monsters that comparing them, in my opinion, is out of place...

Judas reinvented, it's true, with a sound that would make even the most passionate heavy metal fans' hair stand on end. Great album, great band.

No, I don't have a group: I analyze, study, and that's it..:-) Actually, I had a splendid voice a few years ago: I sang in church, solo, I had a very warm timbre... only that then, a couple of years ago, being a head of c**** of m***, I got it into my head to sing "Road Runner" and "Baby Please Don't Go" by Aerosmith (the album, beautiful, is "Honkin' on Bobo"), and surprised that I could cover Tyler's range (of course taking the piece an octave lower), I got stuck for a whole hour: the next day (and for 15 days), I had a piercing pain in my neck, and now I can't sing well anymore: lowered voice, completely nonexistent falsetto, high notes closed off, I can't hold the notes well anymore and I've probably also changed my timbre a bit (compared to before I have a more hoarse voice). I've looked into it, and I think it's corditis (or at least some inflammation). I hope it's not something more serious otherwise I have to have surgery: at the end of summer I will get examined by a good one (a speech therapist, you got it!?..:D). Do you like Francesco Renga's singing?? Wow, finally someone who understands!.. In terms of singing, Renga is a true monster, (by the way, have you tried performing "le tracce di te"?). Jeff Buckley definitely has the most crystal-clear timbre I've ever heard: he's very unique (besides having a superb range: see "Grace"), I can't disagree with you about Gillian, Plunt, etc.. To finish, Michael Matijevic is the one who lent his voice to Mark Wahlberg in the movie "Rockstar": he sang in a band, Steelheart, which after two great albums split up due to an accident during a concert. Their most famous songs are "Angel Eyes," "We All Die Young" (the version with Steel Dragon is better), "Mama Don't You Cry," and "She's Gone." Anyway, they are worth listening to just for the singer: I’ll just tell you that he has the greatest range I’ve ever heard (along with excellent technique and remarkable power). Finally, another singer with a truly monstrous voice is Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge: too bad that due to the type of sound they make, he can't showcase his full range and power (unheard). Well, anyway, it's a real pleasure to exchange opinions with another one from the "sector"..:-)

On the subject of the SM music, I fully quote Arnold Layne, Lord, Alessio Iride. I recently listened to this album (after a long conversation with Larrok and co.), and for me it's a 7+/10 (so from 1 to 5, it's an ample 3.5). As for who the best drummer is, I can't answer that: certainly, many say that the king of drummers is John Bonham (who is also among my all-time favorites), while for technique and speed, definitely Mike Portnoy and Mike Mancino. However, I can tell you who my absolute favorite is: IAN PAICE... And that's all I have to say...
Iron Maiden Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son

CPTGAIO, I wanted to review it myself!!.. it's perhaps my favorite of the Maiden, + complex than the + direct and famous "Powerslave" and "The number of the beast"... and they are also among my favorite bands (if not my favorite!)... I love them to madness, and I adore this album of theirs, to which you simply can't give anything less than a 5!.. Anyway, you've transmitted something to me during this short period (in some discussions here and there). UP THE IRONS 4EVER, SAVE THEM FOR LAST.
