One of my all-time favorites.

Mmm... It's a really great record, yes. But in my opinion, it has the limitation of not straying far from what was done in the more surprising Monotheist, and honestly, I was expecting a few more "knockouts" (following the trail of "Progeny," we only find "A Thousand Lies" and "Goetia"); indeed, this Eparistera develops the ideas of Monotheist in a direction opposite to what I would have imagined: much slower and dragged out, even more sulfurous and suffocating (just look at "Abyss Within My Soul," "Descendant," "Myopic Empire," the opening of "In Shrouds Decayed," not to mention that dreadful "The Prolonging" which seems to be the godchild of "Synagoga Satanae"!)... Be that as it may, it's still a badass piece of work signed T.G. Fischer. And that's more than enough for me! UH!
