After a few months, I have to reevaluate it... At first, I would have given it a solid 9, but now I wouldn't go beyond a 7. Of course, the Cynic are still the Cynic, but I find this album at times a bit too "pale." The great tracks are definitely there, but some transitions feel empty, or rather, inflated with air. What little growling is left comes off as awkward and out of place, it really clashes. In any case, my judgment stands apart from the fact that the predecessor of this album is the immense "Focus." Otherwise, it would be far from a 7...
