@ajejebrazorf, I don’t recall any statements from Guccini about wanting to quote Ginsberg in the text of Dio è Morto. If he did, I reconsider him a bit. To refresh the ideas: I have seen the people of my age leaving along the streets that never lead to anything. Seeking the dream that leads to madness........ The original: I have seen the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked, dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix..... my advice is to read it all L'urlo, even if it’s very long.

@Riki, I agree with your comment. I also think that we should listen only to the music and what it transmits to us, detaching it from everything that’s behind it, even while being aware of the crap that’s behind it. The 10 grams of coke a day per person and the crap that’s behind it can be a topic for discussion, but associating it with the music they make seems wrong to me. The album is very beautiful.

To say copied is inappropriate, because Ginsberg cannot even be compared to Guccini....... I have seen the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving naked hysterical,

In my opinion, he is the most overrated of the Italian singer-songwriters. I recommend reading the first lines of the poem "Howl" by Allen Ginsberg to understand where he "borrowed" the lyrics of the song Dio è Morto.
