This, dear Poletti, should be enough for you to define at least your attitude as presumptuous when you dismiss films that aren’t sacred monsters or widely recognized masterpieces. Furthermore, in my opinion, you contradict yourself when you claim that Zanna Bianca consumed you, fascinated you, but today you would give it a one, stripping away everything it might have meant for you, beyond the adolescent period in which you saw it. Sometimes, as a good reader, I suggest that excessive displays of criticism sap momentum and instill coldness. Goonies is a nice film; it should be judged for what it is, for how engaging it is, for the historical period in which it was released, for the genre it belongs to, for the nostalgia it can evoke. Don’t tell me that nowadays the coldness of your astute criticism — to put it in debaser terms — would prevent you from giving a 5 to Zanna Bianca or other films that once captivated you! I simply don’t believe you, and I repeat, it seems you want to come across as presumptuous when perhaps you’re not at all (maybe...). I enjoyed the review. I haven’t seen the film in a good 15 years. Back then, it really captivated me.
