The Last Shadow Puppets The Age Of The Understatement

@ blackdog: yeah, I was thinking about it, right now I’m focusing my attention on another review that means a lot to me, but the MGMT are making quite a noise. I’ll see.

There are various discussions about the term indie, and it's only natural for that to be the case. In my opinion, it's a matter of interpretation of the term. "Indie is the contraction of the English term independent and refers to everything in the artistic field that is outside the orbit of the major companies in the sector," this is the exact definition. As for how to interpret it, the floor is yours. I will just add one thing: this album was released via Domino, which is certainly not a big record label. If you interpret the term "indie" as a musical genre, then there's plenty to discuss for hours.

As long as they keep buying his records, he will go on indefinitely. I heard this on Monday at a party with some friends of my girlfriend; unbearable is putting it mildly.

Well, before writing them off as dead, I'd wait; I haven't heard anything yet, but the fact that no one is speaking positively about them doesn't convince me.

What Yorke says doesn't matter to me much. I listen and judge only the songs. Street Spirit is great, but in my opinion, the most beautiful one from The Bends is Fake Plastic Trees.

Great album, superior (but not by much) to Ballate. Pair of 4 for you.

Great, album and review.

The fact that you mention Fink as a former GNR was merely for informational purposes for those who may not know. It's just that I don't usually talk about things I don't know. That's all. Regards and peace made, obviously.

@ Occult: frankly, apart from my personal biographer Colossalshit, I’m offended by the fact that you say I don’t know the old records, since I know them quite well. In the review, I NEVER claim that they didn’t have radio-friendly songs in the past, but don’t you feel a bit more plastic in The Hand compared to Hurt (an absolute masterpiece)? Being radio-friendly is one thing, being commercial in the negative sense of the term is another. And the fact that it sounds good live has nothing to do with it; the work is judged based on the albums, that's the legacy that NIN will leave, not the live version. Then I don’t see what’s wrong with saying that this album is decent; I didn't say very good, I said decent. And the fact that Fink has returned might bring good hopes, but it certainly doesn’t warrant hoping for a miracle (if you want a Downward Spiral 2, you might be waiting forever, I think); the soul of NIN is Reznor, I’m not the one discovering that. It’s a shame you didn’t like the review, but accusing me of talking about something I don’t know offends me, no matter how diplomatic I usually am. Just because you don’t share my opinion doesn’t mean you know and I don’t. Bye and thanks anyway.

@ Telespallabob: delve deeper, it's worth it, but I advise you NOT to look back.
