@ Mien: it is undeniable that this album under the name Axel Rose would sell a fraction of what it will sell. That said, it is clear that he considers this a true album of the Roses, also because one of the reasons for Slash's departure seems to have been the singer's proposal for a decisive shift in the band's sound, which was obviously rejected by the guitarist.

I have never been a fan of the Roses, because I believe that their only great album is Appetite. Fourteen years of gestation is a long time; you would expect at least a milestone, and this album certainly isn't one. In my opinion, two premises are necessary to judge it: 1 - try not to think about the fact that it took more than a decade to give birth to it; 2 - it’s practically not a Guns album, but a solo project of Rose. Starting from that, in my humble opinion, it’s a damn good album, with moments worthy of their golden years (a ballad like Street Of Dreams - better known as The Blues - is something that very few can afford) and some new stuff (for them, not in an absolute sense) that isn't bad at all (Madagascar, Shackler's Revenge). Let's see if anyone else thinks the same...

You wrote very well, but I think it’s time to put an end to this story of always comparing the new works of Oasis to the first two albums. Even Radiohead, just to give an example, aren’t still at the levels of The Bends or Ok Computer. Oasis have a different sound, a different way of writing, and anyway, if the latest album is britpop, I’m Kylie Minogue. For me, DOYS is their best album after the first three.

I’m a huge Fiorentina fan, so I hardly watch these shows since they just make me angry. Let’s be clear, I’m not one of those average Florentine supporters who feel persecuted in every possible way (I can't stand the average viola fan: boastful, not objective, and prone to heavy persecution complexes), but there’s a sort of “halo” around my team that I don’t like at all. That said, between Corno and Crudeli, I really don’t know who I’d throw off the tower.
