Rufus Wainwright Release The Stars
Voto:
Great review, but I disagree: it's a fantastic album from start to finish.
Nickelback Dark Horse
Voto:
Two fillers ("Next Go Round" and "Shakin' Hands"), one truly unbearable track ("Never Gonna Be Alone"), two or three great songs ("Something In Your Mouth," the best one, followed by "S.E.X." and "If Today Was Your Last Day"), the rest is just passable. The best of the 'back remains the pairing "The Long Road"/"All The Right Reasons."
Matchbox Twenty Yourself or Someone Like You

Welcome. I’ve never delved into Matchbox Twenty. Absolutely, though, DO NOT listen to Rob Thomas's solo album from a few years ago: horrible.
John Frusciante The Empyrean

I still have "Shadows Collide With People" ringing in my ears, a masterful album. For me, he is a truly great artist. I will definitely buy this upon its release.

Surely the most "fresh" and surprising album of their career, "Fly" is a beautiful song (those who have listened to them since "Silver Side Up" wouldn't even recognize them), "Just For" is really identical to Smells. I'm not an extreme lover of grunge-post grunge sounds, but this little record is not bad at all. P.S. "Dark Horse" for me is a three-star album. Here are my personal ratings for Nickelback albums: Curb * - The State * - Silver Side Up * - The Long Road * and 1/2 - All The Right Reasons ** - Dark Horse *
The Killers Day & Age

Listened to: for me it's three and a half stars. It's not a half masterpiece like the first two, but a slight drop was inevitable. Losing Touch is my favorite.
Bloc Party Intimacy (Original Version)

Thank you for the wishes, same to you Colossalyouth. @ Icnarf: Bitpop? I disagree.
The Killers Day & Age

Perhaps the best review you have written. Clear, direct, fluent, and comprehensive. Well done, well done.
The Killers Sam's Town
Voto:
I agree with Tomgil, and I add that for me This River Is Wild is the most beautiful song by the Killers and one of the most beautiful songs released in the last five or six years. This album, in my opinion, is their best, including the latest Day & Age.

Great review, I'm looking forward to having it to give a judgment. I'm not entirely convinced by Human, though, while at the time When You Were Young excited me.
