Manic Street Preachers Send Away The Tigers

It's true Mien, Black Dog is like a fairy tale... and then "You Stole The Sun From My Heart," "Tzunami," "You're Tender And You're Tired"... aaahhh '98!...

Principles, I just saw the singles UK chart. "Your Love Alone..." hit number 2, so presumably it will be the album of the resurgence...
HIM Uneasy Listening, Volume 1
Voto:
I'm not commenting on the album because I haven't heard it. However, I did listen to "Dark Light," and in my opinion, HIM has definitely gone mainstream.

Many, in my opinion, easily forget (or ignore or underestimate) "This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours," which for me is an absolute pinnacle of '90s pop. Additionally, there’s the classic par excellence from the Manics ("If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next") and an authentic pop masterpiece ("The Everlasting," gives me chills). I don't know what you all think...

Principles, I don't really like this review either. However, I had already written 3/4 of it, so here it is... Maybe it's because when I do negative reviews I'm not very informed... Anyway, it's tough to describe this disk, it's all the same...
Sam Raimi Spiderman 3
Voto:
Well, when it comes to Raimi's adaptations, I prefer Darkman. Who among you has seen it? As for Spider-Man, this is the worst of the three.
Dolores O'Riordan Are You Listening?
Voto:
The review is beautiful and explanatory like few others. I allow myself a note without meaning to offend you, Krystal; I don’t really like it when an artist is, let's say, admonished for not writing pieces "like they used to." Dolores has inevitably changed/grown, and so has her music. If she were to write another "Zombie" now, it would be quite ridiculous and not very truthful. That said, if judged separately, I would also rate this album with three stars, but compared to the complete trash pop circulating on the radio now, it deserves four. "Ordinary Day" has the one flaw of being a bit too reminiscent of a mix between "Animal Instinct" by The Cranberries and "The Hardest Part" by Coldplay. The second single you also mentioned, "When We Were Young," is definitely much better. Bye bye. :)

Great catch, considering I have both the original albums I'll get my hands on it somehow. I completely agree with you on "Sgt. Major" (it deserved single status, not just a bonus track) and "Cold Hard Bitch," their absolute best song.
