I didn't do it out of dislike or anything similar. Fortunately, I can still distinguish real life from virtual life. I gave you a one because I don't like how you approached the topic. In my opinion, there was too much superficiality. For me, Black Flag, Minutemen, and Minor Threat are sacred, and talking about a fucking head like the one heavily possessed by Ian is tough. I realize, however, that the right way was the opposite of yours, without dragging in acids, AIDS, and things like that. Saying no to all self-destructive impulses was not a process induced by an alien mind but a gradual process. Us Italians, children of a leftist punk "tradition," can more easily grasp this transition. Here, it has never been punk to dress in swastikas. In Italy, autonomy merged with punk, and in this regard, I recommend reading "Costretti a Sanguinare" by Marco Philopat. A true punk and, above all, a real person. As for the language: my favorite bands sing in English because they are American. We are Italians (I hate any form of nationalism, mind you). Punk is not a slogan but a social message thrown like a hook hoping that as many similar beasts as you get caught. But think about a phrase like "I'm fine, I'm not fine, I don't know how to feel" sung in English... it wouldn't exist.

a pretazzo: ITALIAN. An Italian band shouldn't sing in any other language but Italian. This becomes even truer for me with punk, where, just like in the extreme opposite, singer-songwriter music, the message holds strong meaning. Can you imagine cccp in English? Come on!!!

so many useless words. Queen are among the worst bands ever and definitely the most ridiculous with all that fucking embellishment, the falsetto, and bullshit. When I think about Queen, I almost become homophobic (and it takes a lot since I'm not at all). I hate them worse than cancer!!!

And what does it matter that Guns opened for the legendary and never overly celebrated Raw Power? For me, they have nothing punk about them, except for the fact that they are not exactly great musicians. But you know what? That means absolutely nothing!!!
Anyway, long live punk, whether you call it hardcore or something like that. Like a completed revolution, it then had to follow a process of institutionalization that today is proceeding in a murky sleep (for example, the Italian bands that pass themselves off as punk and sing in English—this is something that makes me furious). Today, indie is much more punk than punk itself. Where are the Black Flag, the Minutemen, the CCCP, the Minor Threat? Come on... give me a punk band today that isn't just a passing fad or a record label project!!! Come on... give me a name!

For me, those who listen to Guns N' Roses are absolutely irreconcilable with hardcore, especially with Minor Threat. But can you see Minor Threat opening for Guns? Or can you imagine Ian shaking hands with Axl Rose (maybe post-mortem)? Anyway, with the expression nihilism in response to nihilism, I wanted to insinuate things like... "it's pointless to get high if my problems are back in a couple of hours. It's better to roll up my sleeves and do something, instead of just letting things happen!!!"

The problem, in my opinion, is that when approaching a field of social and life called hardcore, it should be people with a more cultured palate who speak about it. You can't just reduce me, in a display of superficiality, to saying that Minor Threat didn't have sex, didn't smoke, and didn't shoot up, or that they hated hippies. The issue is much more complex (among other things, they named something that had already developed in England with the Crass). What Minor Threat represents is nihilism in response to nihilism, and the problem is understanding whether the egg or the chicken came first. Anyway, for me, one must approach this with lead boots, and it bothers me, without any intention to offend, that some punk fans who, in some comments, celebrated certain aspects of Guns N' Roses try to explain Minor Threat to us... it's like saying Berlusconi has a card for Rifondazione.

And I thought there could be a limit to British dementia after Oasis?!? The British press hailed this album simply because it’s a record by those bloody Brits. But have you ever been to London? Well, then you’ve noticed that those half-wits are xenophobic. That's why this album blew up: because it’s a British record!!!
