johnwiston...do you happen to know Shellac, the Melvins, Dinosaur Jr, Black Flag, Rites of Spring, Embrace, Minutemen, Fugazi, Bad Brains, Motorpsycho?
That is, all bands that, while not strictly punk (how can I make you understand that punk is not a musical genre but an attitude towards music and life in general?...whatever) draw from it and are quite complex...much more than Jet or Oasis...I think they are so complex that you can’t grasp them!
