I've listened to a few tracks... I knew the video but couldn't connect it to the group's absurd name... well, they're not bad, I'll try to give them a better listen. Anyway, I think they grew up listening to Pavement.

Cornel, I too make music and do things that are exclusively mine. When someone tells me that our music sucks (and it has really happened), I tell them not to shit outside the box. Music is pure catharsis. It’s a projection of oneself in an absolutely non-physical realm, and when someone doesn’t like mine, honestly, I couldn’t care less. I mean, if someone tells you that they think you're a loser as a person, how do you react? I shrug and don’t give a damn. I mean, one doesn’t play for the pleasure of seeing their name on a CD or watching their ugly mug on TV... one plays, if they do it with heart and passion (the opposite of the pumpkins), to satisfy oneself... so if you satisfy yourself, who cares about the rest. By the way, I believe that if Byllino reads my posts, at best he’ll have a good laugh while counting his dollars (the comment "you are my favorite popstar" on MySpace, however, disappeared after two hours... hihihihihi). Anyway, Eddie Van Halen is a guitar god... and he's as good as he is disgusting.

In my opinion, you’re wrong... you can’t decide who "made history," who is valid and who isn’t... I mean, feel free to do that from your highly subjective point of view. Choose your favorite groups, explore the history of whoever you want, think however you like... but you can’t say so-and-so made history, so you can’t say they suck. And why? Even Hitler (I know this is an utterly ridiculous comparison, but I don’t know how else to explain myself... I hope you understand what I mean... but your theories on objectivity are absurd too) made history, but I still think he sucks, unlike a naziskin (who is objectively a jerk :)). For me, the Smashing Pumpkins didn’t do shit except for a horrible debut album that’s completely different from its glorious (commercially speaking) follow-up.

I respect them too much. I mean, 13song is one of my absolute top ten albums, and damn, the people (the band members) are too genuine. For me, they perfectly embody the spirit that a person should have when approaching making music. Have you ever seen instrument?
