no no... don’t take my posts as attacks on yours, but as peaceful exchanges of opinion. For me, the essence of punk was created by people like Minor Threat, Black Flag, Minutemen... in short, the old school hardcore bands... that is the true punk spirit. In any case, the most punk are us Italians (beyond any stupid form of chauvinism...) twenty-somethings in 2007... devoid of all hope. Anyway, I recommend a book to get a better idea, not that you don’t have one, but knowing more (without becoming a know-it-all) is always a good thing: "Costretti a sanguinare" by Marco Philopat. It's fantastic.

punkisdead...I believe that the least punk punk in history is actually rotten...I don't know, I've always considered the Sex Pistols to be a boy band and the same goes for The Clash. In my opinion, what we call punk, the attitude, has never really existed in England...the English are too posh to be punk. The real punk is American, it's Italian.
