I'm not making an aesthetic-musical discourse, but simply talking about attitude. Not long ago, I read an old interview of theirs from the Trust Us tour... and Bent responded to the criticisms made by the critics about his voice (many say he's out of tune... if he is out of tune... well, I'd love to be that out of tune too) that they are punk-rockers who do two rehearsals and then record... it comes out as it comes out. In fact, it fits perfectly, and I believe they are among the truly psychedelic bands today... I mean, releasing an album almost every year makes them psychedelic and also punk-rockers. For me, Blissard is closer to Dinosaur Jr. than Sonic Youth... but what a fucking great band.
