Great, I was thinking about doing it. The Melvins are simply the greatest band alive. In this album, they make it clear how much of a bunch of idiots they are, demented people playing purely for the joy of it! From the Atlantic period, I recommend a B-sides album, PRICK, which they released under the name of SNIVLEM... always a great example of madness and irony. I appreciate the genres you included for the description... the MELVINS are neither HARDCORE nor METAL... they're too great for either one of those genres.

I have never listened to Mould's solo work... it's something I promise myself to do soon as I believe he is a huge songwriter. The best, I think, alongside Kurt Cobain.

So ghemison... the Super Elastic sing in English and their pronunciation is truly enviable (but who cares?)... look, you're wrong to underestimate Italian... even if in the alternative scene there are too many clones of Godano. Listen to Il Teatro degli Orrori... they sing in Italian in a way that has never been done before, and in my opinion, they produced the best album of 2007 and not just that (take that!). Anyway, I recommend you listen to both bands... in my opinion, they are the best.
