In my opinion, you could have easily spared yourself. The reasons are manifold. For instance: the uselessness of duplicates (sometimes they serve a purpose...sometimes, like this, they are totally useless), that moralistic issue steeped in goodism that to me, more than bringing a tear, makes me burst out laughing...I mean, those stupid little comments often pop up, drenched in the old-man-ism that drives me crazy, which serve, more than to communicate one's passions, to envision parallel personalities and never anyone to condemn them (the guillotine falls if one doesn't recognize the classics of rock...because the classics are objective. Right? Emotions are objective. Right?)...and then...anti-star? Are you kidding me? According to these gentlemen, who aren't really artists in my opinion, in '88 they had women, fame, and traveled the world on jets having the time of their lives. They are a band, IN MY OPINION, I don't want to offend anyone, not even adolescents, but pre-adolescents...so much so that we listened to the tapes of these guys, more for the covers than for the music, in third grade (and I'm not kidding!). So, even though they are quite a stupid band making quite stupid music, they can be liked (it's only fair)...just like The Lord of the Rings, Dungeons and Dragons, and things like that. Instinctively, I would give it a one...but considering it's the last review and maybe we can avoid some Maiden reviews (just for the love of subjective beauty)...2.

As much as blow up sucks and this is a real piece of nonsense, there is a bit of truth to it.
Maybe, actually definitely, Sonic Youth in Italy are not considered a cult, but abroad they really manage to bring together a pretty diverse audience. I like Sonic Youth, from their first album all the way to Washing Machine, in all their episodes (of course, there are peaks... Evol, Daydream, Dirty). After that, I like Sonic Nurse and Rathered... in short, I really like them. Anyway, I find it valid when people say they make music that's too intellectual... but: I LIKE IT.
