Damn... tell me where I said that I don't like the Domino catalog? Sebadoh and Pavement are among my favorite bands, and they just happen to be with a very big label. The comparison you make with Wallace is really stupid (forgive me)... I mean, you're comparing a reality (Domino) that exploits current trends to a small label (Wallace) that still presses records on 180-gram vinyl. Then you keep bringing up this bullshit about the English indie chart... England can be useful for everything except for music and the honesty it supposedly has. STOP. Anyway, I won't respond to whatever you think. Domino can claim to be a post office for all I care. What matters is that they sell with a too-businesslike attitude, exploiting trends and people's stupidity. Now I ask you: if these jerks signed with EMI, do you think they'd gain or lose? They would lose, big time (you know how many fake English alternates they wouldn't give a damn about) and they risk being dropped after a crappy record. It's certain that they make crappy music, but it’s also certain that they know how to do it (or are they just people who can be convinced?)... anyway, for me it's pointless to continue this discussion because I have a very strong opinion about it, one that has been shaped over time due to unpleasant personal experiences. The true indies, the real indie labels, are few. The others are major labels disguised as indie that, after you send them the record, ask you to send them a photo because they might be interested in "your product."
