Poletti, you see, I don’t like it for the simple fact that I haven’t found what I always look for in The Simpsons, and you can’t deny that. I’m not saying there’s a lack of gags; the satire is missing (except in a couple of instances) along with the irreverence that has always characterized them... it makes me laugh, but I prefer to laugh at other things, and it could even make Christmas laugh with some bullshit from Vanzina. Do you get what I mean? They’re not the real bastards, the irreverent and annoying Simpsons. They’re just the annoying ones from The Simpsons.

The point is that all your speeches and answers are full of holes, and you belong to a part of humanity that I wouldn't touch even with a knife. The rejection of war, of violence, is something that must come before any religious or political belief. The fact that it bothers you is that some petty bourgeois German prick or a little kid is attracted to violence, but they don't know what violence actually is. You don't know what it means to leave your house not knowing if you will ever return because someone is killed every minute. I can't stand you and your fake violence that you only see on the big screen. Come and taste it, come live in Naples, and then let's see if you don't die within a week (here, if you're not alert, you're dead) and if you won't desire a tranquil life for everyone, and surely you'll find nothing more fascinating than a corpse.

Even though I don't really like Afterhours, "Hai paura del buio" is ten thousand times better than this putrid, desolate piece of crap of a record. One of the ten ugliest albums I've listened to in my life... up until now.

The beauty of The Simpsons lies in combining satire, sometimes subtle and sometimes coarse, with the absurdity of situations, thoughts, and dialogues. The Simpsons in this film are not the Simpsons we knew. They are the version for stupid kids, filled with unnecessary nonsense just to appeal to the audience, which often does not stand out for its intellectual vibrancy... This film sucks, and it sucks on purpose. How irreverent could a 2-hour film about The Simpsons be? Quite a bit. How irreverent is this? Zero, absolutely zero. Anyway, the EPA chief reminded me of the mad general from Dr. Strangelove.
