Eddie Vedder Into The Wild OST

Just so you know, I couldn’t care less about hardcore and I don’t really pay attention to the genre. Maybe there are ten hardcore bands that I like (but not even ten), and then... mind your own business!

sickman you're just two years older than me. let's hold hands and grow together. anyway, damn you're really into my comments... I get that they’re nice, funny, a bit vulgar, and charming but come on, don’t mind me and move on because I don’t understand a damn thing and Zen Arcade is an album that... guess what?

Well... in the end, I like Nirvana so much that I don't even see a problem with the T-shirts. I think I have quite a few. Some are even homemade since before everything wasn't ready for consumption. What horrifies me, though, I just saw a moment ago... damn, they made a figurine from the "Smells Like Teen Spirit" video... I couldn't believe it. Okay, the T-shirts are now a part of rock (I know Ian Mackaye is cursing all the saints :)), but the figurines, no.

Totally agree with vitalogy, only that the album is nevermind (what a pain I am). I didn’t even know they liked Fugazi... well, you learn something new every day. Anyway, you can’t disregard the cultural phenomenon or the sociological impact of bands like Nirvana or Pearl Jam. I mean, I’m the first one who would like to focus solely on the music, but with Nirvana, for example, it’s absolutely impossible. Just imagine turning on the TV and seeing "smells like" in heavy rotation, then stepping outside and seeing teenagers starting to grow their hair out and dress like bums. Sure, it happens today, but it happens with cookie-cutter crap and not with real, hard-earned rock.

I find it completely understandable and I don't think comprehensible is synonymous with beautiful (oh, I like the melody)... maybe it's a matter of habit, maybe simply taste.

I’m a lost cause, but as a lost cause, I don’t feel offended. Does that mean something?

boni, boni, as a guy on TV would say. Without a doubt, Pearl Jam are not the saints of rock, and I think they actually kind of suck. They can fight all the battles in the world, but they still released music through EMI, and this should put them in the dustbin of history—not because the major labels simply suck (well, maybe a little), but because to propose certain themes, you need a minimum of coherence and quite a bit of modesty. That’s it; I prefer, as a moralizer, Ian MacKaye over Eddy or Bono. I've always thought it's rock for aging forty-somethings, but it's also true that few things disgust me as much as Pearl Jam, and they’re never a mark of objectivity. Many tell me it's a great album, and I haven't listened to it, so I’ll get off my high horse. Aloha.
