thanks everyone... mien, I didn't know anything about bob. maybe it's because I have little time these days, maybe I got lost in some albums... I'll take a look. I guess the review is coming :) ...but a reunion, no? I read that it seemed around the corner... oh well

stealing from one is plagiarism, stealing from many is citation... I'm going from memory though :)

I go Frank, I'm with you... I hear millions of quotes in De Gregori's poetry, and that's a point of pride. Some lyrics openly reference writers and do so by directly borrowing their style... it was Wilde who said that stealing from many is plagiarism while stealing from many means to rework? It seems to me... let's also consider that De Gregori has always described himself as a dwarf on the shoulder of some giant. In short, I refrained from commenting in my pseudo-review on his lyrics because I believe that criticism, especially literary criticism, diminishes the work and even its meaning, and a unique meaning definitely doesn’t exist. It doesn’t exist in "sole, cuore, amore," let alone in "buonanotte fratello."

superkangaroo, I'm with you... the first 5 are amazing. Among them, if I really had to choose, I would pick this one because of "buonanotte fratello," which hits me hard. I prefer De Gregori over all other singer-songwriters precisely for his relationship with melody. So I totally agree with your comment. Oh, I know where you are... watch out for the sharks :)
