Alright. More atmospheric record. Pocket socialism surprised me, this one didn’t. They played with novelty, but I don’t mean to say they must necessarily renew themselves. I’d say a three and a half, maybe four.

but go fuck yourselves... is this contaminated punk? and what the FUCK ARE NO MEANS NO DOING? are they singing a cappella in church? if you don't know shit about punk, why don't you talk about pussy or soccer? not everyone has to talk about everything.

bjorky, you’re right: I only judge through my perceptions. I don’t know what to do with objectivity. I put on an album: if I like it, good, if not, it doesn’t matter. bye :)

The Clash was printed by CBS, which is a branch of Columbia. Right? Behind which of their vinyl records was it written: piracy is destroying the music industry? I should look through my father's vinyls, but I can’t be bothered. And what do you think the Sex Pistols and The Clash were if not a marketing phenomenon? I repeat, the Sex Pistols were idiots and that's why, even though I don't like them, I find them charming. The Clash were just mediocre, that's all, and they stand to punk as The Final Cut stands to psychedelia. My opinion is my opinion. You can't know how it's formulated or even what it stems from. I listen to punk music and its derivatives all day long. I think that should be enough to have an opinion, or do I need to get a diploma from the Roxy Bar University with Red Ronnie as the rector? Sometimes it’s all so sad. It’s a competition over who has the bigger one, and we forget that a record either resonates with you or it doesn’t. I don't like it; I’m not here to enforce rules or compete. It’s just that this isn’t punk, Joe Strummer isn’t punk, and the Italian punks boycotted one of their concerts. What did I say that was strange? If you all come to Debsare to exchange compliments, that’s your business. I come to exchange opinions, which implies a willingness to discuss and accept the other side; otherwise, it’s just a social climb within the tiny universe of music critics of Scaruffian memory, ignoring subjectivity. But isn’t it subjectivity that’s stupid at this point? Anyway, have a good day and don’t listen to the Backstreet Boys. Listen to The Clash. Joe Strummer is punk; he has broken teeth. Damn, a guy with broken teeth is punk.

bjorky, I'm not judging their music, which I don't like anyway. I'm just saying that they're living room punks and I'm drawn to extreme things. That's why I like Sonic Youth too, but I feel much more sympathy for the Sex Pistols. Instead, I have love for other millions of clearer PUNK-ROCK groups. As Sciascia would say... to each his own. I've already said that I don't blame those who listen to The Clash, the Backstreet Boys, or Yes. It's just that coming to say your opinion is stupid doesn't sit well with me. 1 because it's just an opinion 2 because I don't believe I've harmed anything except the memory of a mediocre band. Do we want to talk about punk? Let's talk, without bringing Nirvana and all sorts of nonsense into it, but are you sure you can do it? Above all, are you sure that The Clash are doing and are PUNK?
