I don’t know what to tell you. I’m the first to be pessimistic and I can be a bit heavy. Sometimes I think we can do something to improve this damn city, I’d rather have been born in the last pebble metropolis than in Bolzano, but I end up living in anger from the hundreds of scenes I see every day. So I tell myself to take it easier, to appreciate the characteristics of Naples, but that lasts only a moment and this moment is born and dies after watching this film (once a month). I don’t know, I’m confused… I prefer having been born here, but right now I only think about leaving. I think about all the concerts I haven't seen and all the things I can't do living in this city and I end up putting up a wall and imagining how beautiful what’s behind it is. I’m tired supersoul, and you, I believe, understand me. In one exam (environmental sociology) the professor asked me: and what do you do that’s good for Naples? I answered: leaving. That’s it: the only useful thing I can do for Naples is to leave. It's a city born bad, made for far fewer people than it has always hosted. A recent study shows that for the services Naples offers, it should have just over 50,000 inhabitants, a twentieth of those who are just in the city without counting the suburbs. In fact, if you think about it, Neapolitans are quite open-minded. We’re not racist; as much as possible, we are hospitable… the only big flaw is that we live with this obsession for domination, and so I make room and I leave. I don’t know, maybe I’m just too much of a pain in the ass, maybe it’s that From Here to Eternity made me nostalgic for Berlin… I don’t know.

calm down, it was just an observation. I’m convinced that things shouldn’t be done just for some supposed usefulness. That’s all. In the end, così parlò bellavista isn't anything special, but I admire its lightness. That lightness that makes you say adda passa a nuttat, which I don’t have and that I force myself to have, and powerless, aren’t we all?

If I think about the usefulness of the things I do, I shouldn't even go to university.
