the fact that satriani has a terrifyingly beautiful sound is the biggest bullshit I've read since I've been on debaser. I swear. that said, we’re made of different pasta because for me, satriani is the antiguitar. but anti-anti-anti (triple negation)

Nothing escapes me. You use cleanliness to clean the house, otherwise what is Jimi Hendrix doing with that fuzz dripping like sausages on the grill? Don't tell me Hendrix isn't technical or that he's clean because otherwise you're deaf. Technique doesn't exist; if it did, it wouldn't matter, and those who talk about it 90% of the time either don't play anything or play like some dog who went to the master for ten lessons only to end up sounding just like the master.

my god, what you see on the screen is a summary. the Neapolitan reality, from a Neapolitan, from a resident of a city that is all suburb, the suburb of the suburb, is much worse. there are no solutions; you can only escape from this shit that kills me more and more every day. Saviano initially pissed me off, but now I’m changing my mind and as a rule, if a Campano has a bit of common sense, he tends to have much more than anyone raised somewhere else on the peninsula. this is not a reflux of pride. on the contrary, it is the utmost desolation. we live in a place where everyone challenges and fights everyone, and if someone manages to come out unscathed, they become untouchable, unreachable for any Bergamasque bricklayer or any Milanese entrepreneur. Naples is not represented by this film. IT'S MUCH WORSE... MUCH MUCH WORSE.

read the previous comments. they referred to guitarist-animals as losers. for me, technique doesn't even exist, but if someone tells me that someone like Kirkwood is technically terrible, it means they don't know what technique is, so you have to explain it to them in their own words. anyway, I confirm that if someone is fast, they play soccer on the wing or as a second striker, the guitar is played by those who have a beautiful sound. STOP

The word should technically be abolished. The guy here as a guitarist is not bad since a guitarist should be evaluated for the SOUND and not for the speed of his fingers. As a guitarist, I say: 1) White is not bad at all and I challenge anyone to do the bullshit he does on the guitar while singing simultaneously. 2) D Boon was and is so advanced that if he looks back he still sees the future. A man cannot play with a Telecaster and a Fender Twin, 43 songs, and never repeat himself. So he’s a monster. 3) Kirkwood, although I don’t like the Puppets post-first album, is TECHNICALLY a monster, but really a monster. 4) Cobain is nothing special, but go play a piece of Bleach with your shittiest band and see what comes out. You’ll just sound like you’ve come out of some damn youth center because at that intensity, both of guitar and band, you’ll never get there. 5) If Ginn is not a monster technically, I don’t know how he manages to play solos at two thousand miles an hour and how he is hardcore and invented at least two or three guitar styles... the Fu Manchu are still thanking him. Technique is like spelling: nonsense. You can write like a dog without making a mistake, but everything has its own technique and defining a guitarist like Kirkwood as non-technical is heresy. It is worth noting that the guys from Dream Theater or Satriani are not technically monsters... on the instrument, if you put your mind to it, everything can be learned. It’s the sound that counts and their distortions from youth centers preclude any listening. On Debaser, there are always delirious comments about technique and other assorted nonsense, and these are things that among people who play, who play for real, aren’t discussed because you just need to have an ear. For example, any Van Halen can do all the tapping he wants but he will never be worth even a hair of Neil Young’s scrotum, except for his Fender amp. Young practically invented the good rock guitar of the 80s and 90s, and listening to White, also of the new millennium. The rest is nonsense.

I agree and I don't find totalizing coherence to be just. Above all, I believe in personal coherence alone. As you say, Berlinguer may seem inconsistent to many, but from his perspective, his personal one, he is absolutely coherent. My preference, however, goes to the completely transgressive fools like Cèlinè or the ridiculously coherent ones like Mishima... In practice, this second part of the comment denies the first, but I immediately said that I change my mind more often than my underwear :)
