The last outburst he had just inhaled, what a shame, he was about to tell me everything. You can find the official news of his death online... easily.

...of course, only an idiot ends up believing him.

Don't be discouraged, believe me, you were the one who got it right. I made a convoluted argument to support the genius of the Beatles... I'm sorry, I won't do it again.

@c'é, I specified that things could have happened in different ways, including the possibility that the gallinacci were the first to use this damn sitar. However, there remains a reasonable doubt for which I made my considerations, and that is that at the time, various artists from Swinning London were indeed in touch; they exchanged some chatter between joints about their instruments, so information was shared even before the official recording dates. Albums were released on predetermined dates set by the record labels and not all at once, or when someone suddenly had the right idea in the middle of the night. That’s all; I don’t want to give credit to one person or another by favoring someone.

When Harrison first picked up the sitar with the idea of incorporating it into a track? Before or after the Yardbirds... the official timeline of events tells us nothing.

In fact, when the Beatles were in the recording studio (and they spent more time there than other bands), the buzz in the environment spread quickly about the innovations they were introducing. However, as Dave Jon Gilmour says, there are no absolute conditions to say it.

The sitar was brought to London by Ravi Shankar during those years; however, who the first to show interest in such an instrument cannot simply be deduced from the release date of an album or a 45 rpm. History tells us that it was George Harrison who was the first to introduce it. The musical scene in London at that time, as we know, was a constant copying of ideas (just like today), and being ahead of the game by a few weeks or months really means nothing at all.
