Derek Jacobi Grandi eventi della Seconda guerra mondiale a colori

I'm sorry, but for "experts" or insiders, these videos have very little that is new. Many are identical to those from another series, more formal and less elaborate, called "WWII In HD Colours," which is also available on Netflix. Others are stock footage already known, and in many cases, there are scenes from films that are clearly fabricated. The strong point of this series, in my opinion, is that it delves deeply into certain key aspects of WWII that are still victims of pathetic narratives today. For example, it explains how a smaller, weaker German army with inferior resources managed to dismantle the Allies in three weeks. It provides a comprehensive and contextualized reading of gambles like Pearl Harbour and Midway, reveals the true scale of the bombing of Dresden (on which, apparently, Goebbels' lies still weigh heavily...), and explains very well the political, strategic, and scientific climate that led to the decision to use the atomic bomb. In short, despite the familiar images, the historiographical work is significant, mostly objective, and certainly well done. I practically had general impressions almost diametrically opposed to yours. An excellent work of popularization, without a doubt.

We all know very well that you will be bored out of your mind before section "6" or at most "7"...

I read "Algernon" and nothing, it reminds me of "Il Bosco 1 - Evil Clutch"..
Van der Graaf Generator H to He, Who Am the Only One
Voto:
I really can't stand Van Der Graaf Generator; Hamill doesn't sit right with me, in his lyrical tones, in the way he sings, in the pretentiousness... For me, this and also "Pawn Hearts" are rather weak albums, presented with covers that feel like two dirty fingers shoved in my eyes... I think they did much better (even in terms of artwork) with "The Least We Can Do Is Wave To Each Other" (yes, but what the hell kind of titles did they come up with??)... In its naïveté and rawness of sound, a little gem... Unfortunately, a very anonymous and rushed review...

Here, self-referentiality, self-voting, self-indulgent mental gymnastics, and Piaggio Porte roadies with amps hired to write self-referential reviews/notifications are despised.

Review operations that, in all honesty and transparency, I believe should be nipped in the bud.

I found it incredibly boring. I'm one of those who remains indifferent to stunning graphics if the gameplay is clunky and so indirect. Playing the old Dooms with the jdoom 3D engine, in my opinion, is a much more fun and engaging experience. Anyway, I'm not easily satisfied: I also gave up on Half-Life 2, partly because of the story and partly because of the settings, which are anything but captivating.
Thomas Ligotti Nato nella paura
Voto:
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with Ligotti, nor with True Detective, nor with many of the names you mention. What catches my eye, aside from "our" HPL, is a giant like Robert Wise and especially Dino Buzzati, for whom this sumptuous review is a treasure trove of insights for me.
I would like to point out that Buzzati, although not horror, has written some of the most anguishing and terrifying stories I have come across. It is one of the classic dichotomies of the Greats.
Well done!
Eli Roth Cabin Fever

A crappy movie, boring and ridiculously over the top, crapped out by a "director" who "works" with his feet... More decent as an actor, which says it all...
Roman Polanski La Nona Porta

The touch of a skilled director is evident, but the film is mediocre, trivial, with a finale that I remember almost with annoyance.. Well, Johnny Depp is one of the weakest leading actors of recent times..
