John Landis The Blues Brothers

I disagree with the statement that "The Blues Brothers is John Belushi": it seems to me a misleading and very superficial claim. One of the few films where everything is perfectly balanced, everything is in its right place, and it flows without the slightest flaw. Perfect from a cinematic standpoint, unique and legendary from a historical perspective. "How much do you want for your woman???"

It may be a useless comment, but I'm doing it anyway.. Nathan, your "expression" is completely unfounded, absolutely unsubstantiated, superficial, and childish.. If this is a serious act of criticism, then you really have a lot to learn. If it's a provocation instead, the only appreciable result you've achieved is showing yourself to be a pompous ignoramus.. Just let it go, seriously..

Iside, stop playing with the difference in capitalization.. After the 2001 review, it’s no longer amusing.. :-)

That "read up" was an invitation without polemics; however, I want to clarify... And anyway, Fidia did a great job...

Monumental and unrepeatable.. Even more beautiful is the Redux version, although Coppola had envisioned a different and much more coherent ending.. Read "Heart Of Darkness," guys..

I understood the speech lacandina, pippo, graz.. I would say that this film, although extremely emotional, is also a masterful and textbook lesson on how to convey emotions.. Its value transcends the conventional cinematic standards; I dare say that perhaps at a purely academic and analytical level Leone himself has done better, but I repeat, this film is something of its own, a parade of emotions that relies perhaps too much on the music, which is used extensively to support the direction itself..

It may be true, but the sound is always and nonetheless polished from the Eighties.. that’s what I meant..

In my opinion, the best of the Dollar Trilogy is the legendary "Il Buono, il Brutto e il Cattivo," which I find simply unmatched. This one is really very beautiful, but it stands a step, indeed a doormat, below. And it also seems a bit too structured and folded upon the stunning music of the good Ennio; I’m not sure if that's really a good thing... A very nice review, and Claudia Cardinale is very beautiful as well... But excuse me, is the one you posted the official poster? It seems a bit unfair that only she is prominently featured; the film is full of great actors.

I wrinkle my nose at the initial reference to the quintessential Dreamer... I’ve never really watched the movie attentively, but I find the review very beautiful.
