The review is very well written, concise, and direct, although a bit too indulgent. I get the impression that many major bands with a twenty-year career, like U2, but also REM or Metallica, are kind of coasting along, producing mediocre albums with almost guaranteed sales success. Perhaps with this album, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have shown that they want to put in a bit more effort (28 tracks is a lot, and they are also well-crafted), which works in their favor. Nevertheless, they have been in a full commercial turn for quite some time now.
