Just because they fit the standard, neither more nor less, they are mediocre. If they haven’t made an album of three-minute songs, it’s only to shield themselves from accusations of being sycophantic, which are still completely valid. Terrible, like so many others and unlike a few few. And by the way, it might be my trip, but every time I happen to listen to their latest work, I think of RED, and it makes me want to vomit.

It's always annoyed me.. Ascrofa's voice is moldy, The SanBitter Symphony is so trite that when I hear it I catch the mumps.. But let them stay in oblivion because they fit perfectly there.. Oh but Stipe, how about starting to review some decent albums, huh?

Duplicates are useful, especially because if done well, they add a lot of interesting information. Here, the review is a bit too brief and schematic, and perhaps sterile, but it's not bad. I don't like the group: as you said, they fall into the category of "U2 clones," along with the detestable Coldplay, which is something we really didn't need.

You're right, they're a bunch of posers.. These three have it easy, with their overpaid management and MTV keeping their butts warm.. What a sad decline rock has taken; the real historical issue is that nowadays, or rather in the last twenty-five years, it's the media, TV, and radio that decide who's up and who's down, and in the vast majority of cases, a band's or a singer's popularity is inversely proportional to their artistic value; I put these three on the same level as Tiziano Ferro, Negramaro, and the like, not for their music or skills, but for their masked and commercial morality..

The film is really quite brutal, but it is very well-made, with well-directed actors and excellent historical reconstruction. I think the final scene of the Resurrection is very beautiful, even though I'm not a practicing Catholic; I found it evocative and touching.
The idea of using the original language, also seen in APOCALYPTO, is fantastic and, by the way, that is an excellent film, much better than this one, to the dismay of the detractors.

Masterpiece in a stra-ironical sense, obviously.
