What does Foxtrot have to do with the wind caressing the trees and rural scenes? You have to explain that to me.. I could understand Trespass, but this.. What a lousy review, STIPE, you keep stubbornly dragging masterpieces through the mud with your bland words.. The album is wonderful but I much prefer Nursery Crime.. The intro of Watcher Of The Skies is biblical, God bless the mellotron..

Exactly, for certain tracks... I believe the ones you mention (especially the magnificent duo Dod\Lurker... but why haven't they played it anymore??) are among the best songs from the new era of Genesis in the 80s... The rest is more than forgettable... And if I'm not mistaken, it was you who made the point about the outtakes: with those pieces inserted in the right places, it would have been a whole different story...

Follow You Follow Me is a light, simple yet dignified track that really has little to do with the atmospheres of the album it belongs to and that, all in all, had only modest commercial success. There's nothing wrong with that, I believe. The bad stuff comes after Duke, we know that well.. Great observation on More Fool Me..

You are utterly right.. The serious downfall occurs with Abacab, because what is said about "And Then.." and "Duke", namely that they are pop, that they are commercial, that they are not "à la Genesis", is exceedingly superficial and absolutely unsubstantiated..

In my opinion, Collins and Pietro have two very different vocal timbres, and the former has never tried to imitate the latter. Many historical pieces are sung by Collins in higher keys compared to Pietro (see Carpet Crawlers), and the difference is quite noticeable. Between L'Agnello and this Colpo di coda, there doesn't seem to be much similarity. Moreover, the beauty of this album is that it is much less disjointed and instrumentally more complete, even though L'Agnello remains unrepeatable.
