Well, in my opinion, Mr. Verhoeven would have been better off dedicating himself entirely to science fiction, in which he has achieved remarkable if not excellent results, rather than to his violent and maniacal eroticism. I would never go promote a film like that; the poster seems to echo in opposing tones that of "Showgirl"; no thanks.
I remain perplexed by your friend's actions: using sex as a reward or bargaining chip, is it feminist freedom or a stereotypical concession to the role of the "woman who gives herself"? Is it insidious manipulation or a mocking and assertive declaration of superiority? Did you use her or did she use you?
Probably both and neither... A good idea for a subject in a Verhoeven style, perhaps!

Great recommendation!
The physics of black holes is one of those topics that makes the thinking mammal's brain risk going mushy. The information paradox is something nearly unsettling. I really know very little about it, but the theory of white holes definitely raises some doubts; however, it is by far more fascinating, for its complexity, than hair.
It’s easy to get lost in this!
I think this Adelphi is going on the list...

I remember it, seen in the cinema riding the wave of enthusiasm, how can I not say it.. Come on, it’s a rather anonymous little film, as harmless as his other ones ("La fame e la sete," for example), at most it transmits a bit of sympathy..
