Indeed, I found the album too tough for my tastes and slow to digest. I think the two Teenbeat and Amygdala are excellent. I have it under a bit of dust; a re-listen wouldn't hurt.

I listened to the first album briefly, and it left no impression on me. Honestly, I'm afraid of being disappointed if I dig them up and explore them further. I'd rather listen to the albums where Howe, Palmer, and Wetton were truly great. The review is tired and conveys no sense of enthusiasm whatsoever.

I must admit that the arrival was stunning.. The last price is a beautiful composition, a splendid romantic and melancholic Banks like only he can do, a truly remarkable and satisfying experience. A few solos "similar to Fading Lights" would not have been out of place; I also add that the voice is not bad at all (much better than that jerk Ray Wilson) and that I am really sorry that on Calling All Stations Tony has turned to a slightly harder and more "earthy" sound. An osmosis between the style of "An Island In The Darkness" and that of the Mechanics would have been more juicy, but we are in the realm of if.. Congratulations again, see you soon.. And a vote for the Island!

Excellent review, precise and well written.. Too bad it is dedicated to this re-edition of the U2 style (there's even Brian Eno) teetering between suggestive pop and fragile experimentation. I'm not convinced at all, and Chris Martin personally strikes me as rather irritating..

Honestly, I don't understand clako's stance on not listening.. If an artist is heard on the radio, seen on emmettivvì, and even at San Remo, if they release singles to promote their albums and if they're pushed and hyped everywhere, and if, after all this, their music leaves us disgusted and their voice causes us intestinal spasms, why should we refrain from judging them just because we don't listen to their albums?

I just heard a song by this guy yesterday.. the chorus went something like "I love you even if you're from Milan".. I think it's been one of the worst songs I've heard lately. But the voice.. I mean, the voice. It was even more annoying than Vasco's, a true inarticulate regurgitation.. You all must be joking if you're feeding us this incompetent and even speaking well of it.. I stand by my one.
