You mean a ridiculous idea that generated a silly and useless little movie, which isn't annoying and ridiculous because it mimics an epic literary work, but because it’s shot, acted, dressed, and packaged horribly, in a shamelessly childish, provocative, and commercial way. I don’t want to be a contrarian, but the Van Der Graaf Generator only partially resonate with me. I mean, they are incredibly talented and have a strong impact, dark and sublime at just the right moments, but they don’t drive me crazy for a number of reasons that aren’t really rational.
