And indeed it’s better to gloss over the obscene cover.. A great recovery, a decent album that’s very well played.. I agree with you both on Seasons and on Title Track, the most beautiful song on the album.. Sometimes I wonder: why listen to contemporary music when there are certain hidden gems from almost forty years ago? I know I’m too retrograde.. Five because I admire your antique-dealer instinct..

I wouldn't call this gem a piece of crap or a joke, and I certainly wouldn't watch it while sitting on the toilet. It's perhaps the quintessential goofy and flashy film, with that idiot Ash who is undeniably the most ignorant and lovable anti-hero of all time. I have to say that the special effects, although hilarious and often deliberately puppet-like, are phenomenal. And the Oldsmobile turned into a skeleton grinder? And the three copies of the Necronomicon? It's a comic book come to life. Hail to the king, baby!

Excellent review, especially since I can relate to the adolescent impression you describe at the beginning. Regarding the collaborations and the authorship of the writings, I agree with Tomgil: "L’esumazione" and "L’orrore nel cimitero" are collaborations, while "Masusa's coil" and "La maledizione di Yig" are stories commissioned to HPL by Zealia Brown Bishop and thus written on a "spurious" plot. In my humble opinion, the four-volume edition by Mondadori, which collects all the stories, is excellent, curated by the foremost international experts on Lovecraft and organized in a rational and precise manner. The mammoth edition by Newton Compton, which gathers all the work, including poetry and essays, with several unpublished stories, is also outstanding. An unmissable gem.

But I wonder: do you really believe it? Do you really think that one, let’s say one of the "singer-songwriters" of the Italian mainstream but not only, makes authentic, inspired, non-cynical albums, playing only the music they want and not what’s popular and sells? Making such a statement is a huge risk, especially in the case of this transformative jester, a hypocritical do-gooder well integrated into a certain politically correct and progressive intelligentsia. I just wanted to know: is the cover à la Mister Brillìo also inspired and genuine?
