On this album, there's "Joie de Vivre," which I really love; it might be simple and not very proggy, but it’s played really well. Great band overall, and my applause goes especially to the human counterpoint Andy McCulloch, a drummer I adore. Now he's a skipper in Greece, but can you believe it... If anyone spots him, tell him to get back behind the skins.

The four-wheel period of Genesis is perhaps my favorite. This live album is outstanding, even though I own a copy plagued by disturbances of all kinds. This is where, if I'm not mistaken, the "Cinema Show" present on Seconds Out is taken from: one of the absolute peaks of Genesis, something incredibly powerful. I wholeheartedly endorse comment #12 with my blood. For me, some historic songs, especially "Carpet Crawlers," are much better sung by Phil, and I absolutely disagree with statements like "Of course Phil, after Hackett's departure, decided to aim for a more radio-friendly genre": it's a massive folly because it assigns the plastic trajectory of the '80s solely to Collins; let’s remember the works of Tony and Mike, please. A slightly imprecise review but overall good.

I thought you had abandoned Debaser... I would have been sorry, because I believe you are not a fake, and even though what you write most of the time doesn't convince me (I'm referring particularly to Genesis), it’s wrong to hold back just because you can’t handle the (more or less) sensible criticisms of a group of (more or less sane) layabouts, which includes myself as well... It’s the meat of this site after all...

Dear Outrageous, first of all, I wanted to tell you that just because I don't feel like ranking things, it doesn't mean I don't listen to music: my reviews are there to prove it. Secondly, if you read carefully (if you can manage to do so), I wrote SEMI-illiterate, which is quite different. The fact that you don't understand this, or that you judge my musical preferences based on a ranking (which doesn't even exist, by the way, since there's only one element), can only make me more suspicious… Regards…
