Sophie Ellis-Bextor Make A Scene
Voto:
I've said it before and I'll say it again: she's good and very nice..
Quatermass Quatermass
Voto:
Uh, there’s a debaseric revival of Quatermass these days, between definitions and reviews.. Good recovery, you’ve made me want to check it out! Great album, which like many prog works remains incredibly fresh and modern.. Listening to progressive rock is a bit like being an antiquarian.. Listening to neo-prog instead seems more like necromancy than necrophilia.. Said without any polemic, of course..
Sophie Ellis-Bextor Trip the Light Fantastic
Voto:
Beautiful, I like her, and I fondly remember the singles from 2002.. Quality pop, yes, you're right.. That's exactly why no one cares about her anymore, because the flocks of sheep prefer to inject garbage like Lady Gaga and her ugly companions into their ears..
Bryan Singer I Soliti Sospetti
Voto:
Insult me, but I have never seen this movie.. I only know that there is someone who limps.. However, nice review. Apart from the more personal section, the comparison-simile of fishing fits and is well written..
Mel Gibson Apocalypto
Voto:
Some scenes are ridiculous, yes.. The water birth, an unnecessary scene as well as a true apotheosis of trash and bad taste, and then the Terminator-like resistance of the protagonist, just to mention the most irritating bragging.. But it's a good film, with a dark and well-crafted atmosphere.. The arrival of the Spaniards is then of extraordinary effectiveness.. A must-see..

Mike Rutherford Acting Very Strange
Voto:
Terrifying covers for a mediocre album edging toward the terrible.. Well, even those with the Mechanics aren't exactly more decent..
Brian Eno Another Green World
Voto:
Beautiful album from start to finish… it’s the perfect background for… well, for almost everything. Of course, your review lacks a lot of important information, I would say essential, as Mr. Iko pointed out (albeit a bit too smugly)… But it's fine as it is… Well done!
John Carpenter Fantasmi Da Marte
Voto:
Flat film, often boring and sometimes even ridiculous, stale in the action scenes and featuring characters so cocky they seem to have come out of a video game. This is not the Carpenter I would like to see, and indeed this film was quickly forgotten. I don't think I would sit down to watch it again. In the sci-fi field and in the "few against all" subgenre, Carpenter himself has done much better.
Tony Banks The Fugitive
Voto:
I've never heard this album, but honestly, there's nothing in Banks' production that excites me, except for a few rare moments in "A Curious Feeling" and the beautiful "An Island In The Darkness" from "Strictly Inc." (another mediocre album were it not for the aforementioned track). I can't explain Tony's lack of talent as a solo artist, considering he is the true core of Genesis (Mike is there by a hair's breadth, though). Perhaps he has always been used to writing songs together with other composers, and alone he can't replicate that, or maybe he kept the best stuff for Genesis... Anyway, good job, I fully support your effort to make it clear to those who stupidly see the Eighties Genesis as a spinoff of Collins' solo work or, worse, those who think that Phil was responsible for the plastic drift... Matters of historical truth...
