Great review even though a bit cold and pompous (as usual).. The problem, dear Darius, is that very few take you seriously here because you're considered more of an admirer of plastic pop.. I don't know, for me you're a de-reviewer competent who knows his stuff, and you really don't deserve those 1.. To Kyle, my respect always and anyway..

Ahahahahaha... "When I was asked to review Boomerang..." I've NEVER seen a more trashy and jokey beginning... A new great element in the debbaser!

Great note.. I agree with you, although the "effort" to find a hidden meaning in this blood-soaked manga seems a bit far-fetched.. It's a film to watch even just for how off-the-wall it is; certain body-horror scenes are ridiculously intense, while the ads scattered throughout the film are small touches of genius. The plot is ridiculous, clichéd, and not engaging at all, but in the end, that's okay.. Hats off to Eihi Shiina, truly beautiful..

True, there are various inaccuracies here and there, but you've described the technique and structure of the songs very well, and that’s no small feat.. It's clear that this album really excites you. I’ll repeat myself, I find it an excellent album but too cold, cerebral, experimental.. It’s sort of a prototype for a style that will take on more form and substance, in my opinion, in "Beat". My favorite is the impressionistic "Matte Kudasai", the masterpiece is "The Sheltering Sky", the technical level is orgasmically superb.. Well done KC, but I stopped following them after '83..
Genesis Foxtrot

Well, a lot of words to say very little.. Aside from the inaccuracies, the clichés, and the fact that I really don't believe the Genesis released a CD in 1969, there's little discussion about the music and why this album is so wonderful.. Great choice, but I’m sure you can do better.. Over time, I've started to prefer "Foxtrot" to "Selling...", because it's more homogeneous and free of the ups and downs of its successor. Even though my favorite albums from the early period are "Tresspass" and "Nursey Cryme," perfect in their raw imperfection.. Until next time..

But am I the only one who finds "Girl Gone Wild" truly ridiculous? With what courage do some people still defend this useless mess?
King Crimson Discipline

It's certainly a great album; not their best, which for me remains Red, nor the most successful of the new eighties era of the King. I much prefer "Beat," more refined, warmer, with more soul.. "Discipline" is an extraordinary and overwhelming sound laboratory, a forge of ideas, crazy and often brilliant concepts, but I find it a bit aseptic, self-referential; it feels like an experimental record in the sense that it serves as a prototype for a new sound that still needs to settle properly.. That said, there are a couple of tracks, "The Sheltering Sky" and the beautiful "Matte Kudasai," that are among my favorites by KC.. As for the rest, extraordinary line-up, perfect sound, compact and incredibly modern.. A somewhat blunt and hasty review but all in all good..
