As far as I'm concerned, it's exactly the opposite; it's one of the albums I love the most among all the ones I have. It gives me incredibly intense emotions.

I read it. I find it a bit biased... but can you really compare them to bands like the ones you mentioned? I see no similarity with Sirenia, for example... let alone with Tristania. Can you respond if your intention was to discuss the album... or was it just an attempt to promote your review?

how do you define a music, a world you don't know as your reason for living?

here come the hidden truths. one listens to such bands and it’s obvious that they become victims of prejudice against bands with a woman behind the microphone. for the record, this dear lady angellica is a stunning model (visit the website) but musically she stands in gothic metal like britney spears and hillary duff do in pop. comparing her voice to that of turunen seems blasphemous to me. just as comparing the banal sound structures of this album to the progressive technique of after forever, or the neoclassical flair of epica. a biased review, definitely prone to sexism and prejudice, just like the reviewer.

Perhaps you misunderstood... I was talking about the sharpness of people's comments on a review (limited to the site where we write). I repeat, I’m not interested in whining and speaking in stereotypes. My primary goal is (forgive the pun) objectivity. Something that seems to be a bit hidden in your judgment of a genre that is not just cliché (but in many cases innovation and emotional depth). In any case, the issue is highly out of place in this context. Because here we’re talking about progressive and not gothic. Or maybe the mere presence of a female voice for you is a guarantee of belonging to the genre? Well...

With the adjective "monumental," I meant to say that it has a long duration, very heterogeneous compositions, and a large number of guests behind the microphones (I didn’t elaborate further because I didn’t want to talk about that album, but about Stream of Passion). Fidia, if you had read my reviews more carefully, you would have noticed that I’m not one to generalize, and anyway, the genre I usually review is also the one I’m most knowledgeable about. Therefore, I don’t see why I should talk about something else, risking coming off as the ignorant one. When you say that the proposals of the groups I usually review are always the same, I believe you are mistaken and basing your judgment on preconceptions, which, as I can see, even the listening of an album like this one (which I don't know how you could possibly categorize within gothic metal) hasn’t managed to dispel. The number of comments doesn’t affect me. I would prefer that this site gave more space to the skill of talking about music (something quite difficult, I assure you) than to the personal tastes of users, based on which a review can be perceived positively or negatively. But perhaps mine, in a country like Italy, will remain a mere utopia. In any case, with my next review, I will dedicate myself to something entirely different. Stay tuned!

It’s brief… just like most of the reviews that circulate on this site, many of mine included. For a fan like me, reading this review is nothing short of irritating…
