I've only listened to a few of their songs, and I have to say they didn't really excite me much ("once" seems rather cloying to me, "1000 people" highlights Wilson's work, dreamy but also slightly tending toward the soporific, "christenings" is already nicer, but it suggests that the singer's voice doesn't have much to say). I find that there are much more talented mainstream artists who are less "easy" than these: Muse above all, but I also think Keane are doing well in this direction, not to mention the (currently) disappeared Starsailor. I find the review very well written; after all, the expressive skills are evident. However, I didn't find any emo hints at all, at least in the songs I've listened to, but since they all sound alike, it would seem strange to find them in the others.

Thank you for the compliments. So someone knows them here too :) I really think they deserve a lot.

I meant "lotus" and not "pearl days."

Let’s start by judging the review, which I consider well-written and also objective, as I find myself quite struggling to assign a rating to this album. In my opinion, Elisa's career has always been characterized by highs (great range, unique vocal timbre, notable artistic flair) and by some despicable and sometimes avoidable missteps. Among these latter, I would certainly include the various "cinematographic" collaborations. Horrible "swan," both for the music and for the film it was accompanying, the same goes for "eppure sentire," and the same applies for "gli ostacoli del cuore" (which, by the way, is not even her piece, but I'd prefer not to comment on Ligabue). In the latest singles, the commercial turn has been striking (in a negative way), making her almost unbearable. I would also disagree on the actual value of her voice (in Italy, at a pop level, there are definitely better ones; perhaps hers is the most enjoyable, especially for a teenage audience). Nonetheless, there remain some pleasant memories in her career, salvaged here and there in a sea of mediocrity. The Amos-like inspirations of "the waves" (greatly excluded from the best of), the rock energy of the first album, the romantic nuances of "luce" and "heaven out of hell," the nocturnal lyricism of "dancing," the acoustic delicacy of "broken," and the whole album "pearl days," which I consider the most intimate and personal of her career.

Look, for me it's the same, I agree with every single word and I believe that especially underground labels should be supported. But, unfortunately, to know all the bands I know I had to resort to other means as well...

Well, look, I also like to have original ones; do I seem that superficial to you? ... However, I can no longer buy randomly. I've already wasted too much money this way. If you're wealthy, go ahead, but unfortunately, that's not my case.

Honestly, it doesn't seem like the right thing to buy them! Anyway, there's still a lot to talk about, it's just that I've lost my spark and lately I've been slacking off. Sigh :'(
