Dream Theater Dream Theater

The ideas I liked in the previous album have been brutally weighed down by systematic chaos... However, there are good tracks with The Bigger Picture (or as LaBrie says ''D' Bigghe PPiccheeeu), Behind The Veil (even though with a recycled chorus from the previous track) and Along For The Ride which I will never tire of listening to.
It must be said, though, that Enigma Machine has no reason to exist, The Looking Glass would have been good as a b-side, and Illumination Theory is another DIY effort to glue together parts that don't fit with each other (and don't tell me 'come on, dude, that's how a suite is made' because Octavarium, A Change of Seasons, In the Presence of Enemies, or even the shorter Scarred and Learning to Live flow beautifully). You get distracted for a moment and find yourself with the unexpected (!!!) pompous finale that imitates the end of Octavarium, etc. with LaBrie singing to you about life that must be lived and appreciated... (in Petrucci's way).
There's a level of sufficiency because, in the end, they are still Dream Theater even without big Mike, but the best thing this album has left me with is curiosity for the next one, because at this point, either something changes or it's the end.
Avenged Sevenfold Hail To The King

This album is flatness in its purest form, not to mention the plagiarism that could only be described as scandalous! The drumming has sunk to pitiful levels; sure, he might be a good drummer, but the comparison with the previous two is heartbreaking... there are valid drummers out there!
But what disgusts me is how other rock stars have praised him to the unimaginable on their various social networks, contributing to the ad hoc commercial maneuver!
Hail to the King is the victory of emo kids who have imposed absolute softness on a band that had produced a masterpiece like 'Waking The Fallen', followed by a magnificent City Of Evil and the more than decent Nightmare and the self-titled.
Good music emerges defeated.

a nice album, nothing to do with that junk from Beady Eye.
I really liked it and for several weeks it was a constant presence in the car radio.

rather honest review;)
embarrassing album... maybe I listened to it with some prejudice, but it seems to me that it's a mix of stuff taken from others (or at least much more blatant than what has always been said about Oasis regarding the Beatles)
the roller-instant karma (john lennon) but I don’t think I’m saying anything new
wind up dream-savoy truffle (beatles)
beatles and stones-my generation (who)
the beat goes on- the beginning of the verse sounds identical to the second line of the chorus of hello goodbye (when they say "hello hello, I don't know why you say goodbye," etc., and you can also hear "hello goodbye hello goodbye," etc.)
in short, if Liam had been more honest, he wouldn't have loaded this album with expectations that were not met at all... but the roller is doing great on the radio, so if their goal was that, well done.

the manifesto of a generation; few films succeed in this endeavor.

The review is written very well! I give the album 4.5 because the full 5, with honors, goes to Rising.
