I'll join in too: track by track is too boring; I have to listen to the album, but maybe I'll skip it, I have other listens planned.....

and don’t apologize, it’s my fault for taking your response too seriously. on the contrary, it’s a pleasure for me to have a civil conversation with someone without having to be called an asshole. until next time cptgaio, stay brutal ;-)

a bit with both, but especially with you :-). that I have prejudices against the album is probably true, but as I said, I only talk about what I have listened to (and in doing so, I assure you that I've tried to be as objective as possible) and so I don't pretend at all that it is an absolute truth. then maybe I will follow your advice and (perhaps) listen to it completely. then I will tell you what I think more confidently.

I understand that the choice to do an unplugged version is autonomous, but personally I think the way it was done was influenced by those who aren't in charge, making a job that could have been done (in my opinion) better not so beautiful. All of this, I repeat, is based on incomplete knowledge; as I said, I haven't listened to the entire album, which is why I won't vote. As for open-mindedness, I don't consider myself a rigid metalhead ("Blind" in acoustic is something I can't swallow, what can I say, but that doesn't mean I don't respect it, believe me). On the contrary, I try to broaden my knowledge, within and outside the genre (for example: almost all my friends listen to hip-hop. Should I get angry? No, I try to learn more, or simply to respect it from a distance). Speaking of evolution, I've already said that for me it's something else, but these are points of view; I didn't intend to offend you (if I did, I apologize, even though I don't understand how), I just wanted to give my opinion on a work that, in the part I listened to, didn't excite me, quite the opposite...
That being said, I may be naive, but I’m reading your review (well done, as I mentioned before) precisely to learn a little more. And all in respect of personal tastes, I just shared mine. Stay brutal.

I haven't listened to the album in its entirety, so I'm not voting, although I would give it 2/5 based on what I've heard. The review, on the other hand, is well done, compliments trooper.

Leaving aside whether the album is commercial or not, it's well-made, exciting, and a revisiting of their work from different perspectives, and it's an absolute shame. Not because it's made for MTV or some other insignificant channel, but because seeing bands like Korn have their lyrics censored, reducing songs like "Blind" to ballads (it's a matter of taste, fine, but come on, "Blind"!) makes you realize that they haven't sold out, but they've done it in the worst possible way. Playing for MTV isn't the problem; it's being "dictated" how to play to please the channel's listeners, that seems to me... well, not Korn, evolution or not, because for me the evolution was that earlier phase, with its highs and lows ("Take A Look In The Mirror" I personally consider very good, even if it's 9 years after the masterpiece), this is just a change in direction (momentary, I hope) that could have been done better.
