Langhorne Slim When the Sun's Gone Down

Thank you, Lewis! I also found it on cdbox along with an EP titled Electric Love and the self-titled one. As soon as I get home, I'll listen to a few tracks on the space (here at work my boss would have something to say...). Bye!

Beautiful review! You've piqued my curiosity; is it available around, or do I need to check online?

Yes, but it's been edited well :-)

I had started writing the review of Saturnalia this morning, damn it… but yours is beautiful, so it was better this way (next time I'll get a move on :-)). I completely agree that the synergy between the two is only present in 3-4 tracks, but despite that, I think the album works. Songs like Bete Noir or Seven Stories Underground stir my guts. PS: the cover photo was taken by a photographer friend of theirs in New Orleans after Katrina, and I think it's chilling!

Hi Swanz. I saw them for the first time last week, so I won't debate whether they're better today or better back then, but as 47 has already mentioned and as I've reiterated before, I was amazed at how pieces that are far from conventional (just look at the "instruments" used) are performed live without losing even a bit of the charm they have on record. In some ways, I actually prefer their latest works: definitely less jarring, less innovative, and perhaps even less interesting, but certainly more enjoyable. And in the end, I quote you: it's just a matter of taste! Bye!

Bad Lavalin, very bad! I was in the front row in front of Hacke, who also signed my CD. From there, Sabrina felt great! I wish that would be your colour!

Great 47! I (as I already mentioned elsewhere) was in Bologna the day after: UNFORGETTABLE! I also would have never thought that the live performance would be like that; I would describe them as monumental. Concise yet comprehensive review, I couldn't have done better. PS: I also had the satisfaction of seeing the jaw of a somewhat skeptical friend drop to the floor when they came on stage and being picked up at the end of the concert. I was right, they are impressive :-) Bye!

I hope you are a fake Clako, because if not, the situation is really concerning. That said, Vasco has never really done rock, and he doesn't even know where it lives. That doesn't take away from the fact that nice works can still be made (see Liberi Liberi), but to say that this patchwork of clichés and third-party composed music is rock is chilling...

A bit like the Drim Teater... :-)
