Vasco Rossi Il mondo che vorrei

@Cacchione: I don't care at all about what Professor Vecchioni says, I have my own opinions and I don't need to borrow those of people with grand names. And I'm not full of prejudices as you think. Johnson's story was just thrown in there to highlight that a legend like him, being reviewed by God in home, gets about 20 comments, while Vasco (whom I believe no one dares to compare as a musical figure to Robert Johnson) receives 400 comments for his latest album. As for the rest, I haven't listened to this album so I won't judge it, but in light of the last 3-4 (which I find awful, and I stress I find them AWFUL), I don't believe it's possible for me to like this one. I repeat, Vasco made some commendable things in the beginning, some acceptable ones around the '90s, and then absolutely nothing. His lyrics are obvious, stupid, rhetorical, and above all repetitive. Lastly, to return to the story "he brought rock to Italy": in my opinion, rock and mainstream chart music have never had dinner together, while Vasco has lunch with the mainstream every day. That said, if you like his album, listen to it until you carve it into your player’s disc with a laser, but don’t preach it as if it were gospel. Bye.

No Lewis, I don't think I'm up to it... Besides, a review with 400 comments would flood my email:-) It's better to keep doing reviews with 10 honest comments. @Clako & Sciusciola: there's a review on the homepage by a guy named Robert Johnson, I recommend you read it (comments included), you never know, it might make you rethink. Regards.

Sorry for my ignorance, Ale... I tried to listen to them a bit after persistent invitations from a Debaseriano (...) but I couldn't stand them for more than 10 minutes. However, they have a bassist with major guts. Who knows, maybe I'll give it another shot later. Bye!

@Alessio: if by "you can't go back" you mean preferring today’s music to the old glories of the '90s, I’ll mention Non Io by Bachi da Pietra (I'll never stop thanking Azzo…). What do you say?

Nice review! I’ve never listened to them too much, just casually for the guest star, and it bored me in 2 days. For the best Italian rock album, I agree with Black: nothing satisfies like Hai paura del buio.

Hi Hal! Thanks for the advice, I think I'll follow it given the quality of the last suggestion you gave me (Kind of Blue, basically my initiation into jazz!). Bye and thanks again!

It seems I’m late too... I was just looking for an unconventional album to gift myself these days, but I’m torn between this one and Hellequin Song. What do you say, Kosmo? If you’re there, give me a sign (and ease my mind). Bye!
