Lux, mine was a general statement. If you don't like the album, I'm not going to insist on trying to make you like it (like many do around here). However, if you take a look at people's opinions, it's rare to hear comments like "a decent album" or "not great but not to be thrown away"; here, the judgments are either "garbage" or "masterpiece," and considering the subject under scrutiny, both seem like extremes driven primarily by personal biases towards the band. Also, certain claims about the arrangements (which, in my opinion, are precisely the strong point of the album) truly leave me perplexed. Bye.

Cool! They are part of that immense list of bands I've never listened to. And the list keeps growing... Congrats on the review! Bye.

Nothing new under this sun, huh? The usual fight between those who can’t give more than a 1 and those who can’t give less than a 5. I really struggle to believe that there’s even a shred of objectivity in these extreme ratings. So to those who praise the album: are you sure it really deserves a 5 (= masterpiece!)? And to those who trash it: are you sure it really deserves a 1 (on the level of the Finley)? You see for yourselves...

To me, it seemed like a respectable judgment on the album since it's personal, but completely lacking in reasons (a bit like that couple of lines written by Chinaski). Quoting the lyrics of a song and saying it's written like crap means criticizing without any arguments for me. Anyway, nothing to lose sleep over, just to be clear :-). Now, after a (not too) tough day, I'm heading home listening to the latest from the After! Ciao a todos!

@Lux: Did they fail them with wisdom? It doesn't seem like it to me...

Look Chinaski (great nickname...) if you notice I voted 1 for the review, but the reason is not that I disagree with the reviewer, but because I didn’t like the review itself. I found myself giving 5s to reviews of artists I didn’t know (therefore without knowing if they were full of nonsense) because I was passionate about the writing. Later, maybe while listening to the album, I can find myself disagreeing with the judgment, and I might want to point that out later, but the judgment on the review should not change; otherwise, it means we are being influenced by external factors that shouldn’t have anything to do with the review. Or at least, that’s what I think, and I let others do as they see fit. Bye.

I mean, should I not vote on a review of an album I haven't listened to???? Are we crazy? Then if I have listened to the album, what should I do, vote on the review based on whether I agree or disagree with the given judgment? For goodness' sake...

Occulto, I admit my ignorance in all its magnitude. I don't remember having heard/seen about these peculiarities of Tijuana at all, but let's look on the bright side: today I've learned something new... Hello!

So this adelitas would be known to most... Well, maybe it's just me living a bit out of touch, but I didn't know about this kind of "attractions" in Tijuana. Anyway, hello to everyone!
