@Lux: perhaps I explained myself poorly. What I mean is that aesthetics is an integral part of the art (musical) itself, and as such, it adds value to the work. The comparison of the watermelon you made earlier, in my opinion, is not representative of what we are discussing. Let's take an example from painting: Van Gogh's sunflowers depict a field of sunflowers; it is a painting that I believe (and not just me) is stunning, yet it "only" depicts a field of sunflowers. Following your reasoning, I could say that the sunflowers lack content and only have form. I think that reasoning is flawed, but even if it were correct, it wouldn't detract at all from the beauty of Van Gogh's work.
As for the idea of listening to music without caring about the lyrics, I'll leave that aside... it would be like saying you eat tortellini without caring about what's inside. In plain words, you miss out on the best part...

Look Chinaski, the original post isn't mine, you know... Anyway, I agree with what was written, especially with the fact that "music is pure aesthetics," so the arrangement is an integral part of that much sought-after content. As for the rest, Lux and Chinaski: take off the blinders and stop with the insults, you are both arguing your opinions, however opposed they may be, but you were so busy insulting each other that you didn't even notice.

I just wanted to bring it to attention because it seems in line with my thoughts. During the weeks of insults, I reevaluated the album a bit, but there's still a big change in the band's songwriting, a change that may not yet be complete but that I believe will yield some great results, as many tracks on the album in question are quite beautiful. And now that I've expressed my opinion for the umpteenth time, I'll step back from here because I don't want to be seen as either an idiot or a son of...

"I would also like to say that the idea of the absence of content is bullshit; music is largely pure aesthetics, and content is often communicatively tied to form. The band is in excellent shape, and the next album (in my opinion) will confirm that. If you can't stand them and still want to trash them, go ahead.." It seems that many have missed this post...

They are a part of my adolescence, I could never deny them (even if I've downsized them quite a bit). And then I started playing the guitar because Slash existed, so I mainly vote for nostalgia... A review as useful as a broken trash bag in Naples.

I haven't read the review, but "Generi: Tango argentino" is fantastic! You deserve 5 just for this...

Great review and really unknown proposal! I checked the website (without listening to the samples, I don’t think it’s appropriate to do that at work...) and I have to say they really focus a lot on the image. Usually, those who emphasize visual impact too much lack a bit of substance, but I hope I’m wrong. In any case, welcome to Deb jpfviolator!!! Bye!

Chinaski, don’t throw it in your face, the :-) was meant to indicate a joke, huh... @Ale: why thank god they are dead? If they were alive (and churned out records like you like) what would you do, would you sacrifice yourself for them?
