I would trade my Fender for a G&L right away...

Ajeje, I've played the tele for a couple of years and it doesn't seem so uncomfortable to me. I think it depends a bit on the height at which you hang it. I’ve never tried the jaguar, but the sound is definitely different from the classic rock/blues that you get with a strat. As for someone using it to play faux alternative just because they can produce some terrible sounds that they could also get from a broomstick and they wear it around their neck just because it looks cool, that could be true, but that happens with many other guitars (even with ibanez...)

Do Ibanez suck? Do Ibanez sound bad? All of them????? I agree that the signatures of Satriani and Vai (and similar ones) are indeed quite flashy both in sound and looks, but if you go up in price, there are guitars (like the Artcore) that are fantastic pieces of craftsmanship. And when you say that the clean sound is just the Telecaster, ask Metheny what he thinks about it... With this, I don’t mean to say that Fender and Gibson suck or that they are just a trend (anyone who has held a 335 knows that trend doesn’t matter one bit), but to disdain Ibanez solely based on the "flashy" model is frankly misguided. As for Hagstrom (without an N), I completely agree: it's one of the few brands that charges (almost) only for the intrinsic quality of the instrument.

Of course! I just used it as an example to explain the concept... I would never dream of comparing any contemporary rock singer to Drake, that would be nothing short of cruel.

Ah... I also have a Strat and a Les Paul, but lately I've been craving something different, who knows, maybe another little sister will pop up...

Damn, this one slipped my mind... Well done, there's the original review! I only have Blow By Blow by Jeff, it’s fantastic! I think he’s the (unjustly) most overlooked guitarist in the history of rock music.

Guys, Woodstock as a performance isn't the best (actually...) but the live intensity is monstrous! I agree that Monterey is more enjoyable and in the end, it's probably my favorite too, but ranking Hendrix has always meant little.

Many rock songs, when stripped of their "rock" arrangement, become pop songs; however, this doesn't mean they should turn into "ignoble" pop, nor does it indicate a lack of quality. Nick Drake ultimately made little songs (often arranged with just guitar and voice), but his quality is indisputable. Who knows if with a rock arrangement he wouldn't have found success even in his lifetime...

Nice review. I’ve never heard the album, but I agree with frère_ubu about Woodstock; you can really feel the atmosphere of the concert there.
Alanis Morissette Flavors Of Entanglement

Not a very great review (I've always hated track by track), you can do better as you've already shown. I haven't listened to Morissette since the unplugged days, and my impression remains that she has only produced one album worth listening to, Jagged Little Pill.
