PS: Lateralus on a proper Hi-Fi system sounds amazing!

@Michoos: I completely agree except for the "metal" audience part: I absolutely don’t listen to anything (even though I did in the past) metal or heavy like Tool, but despite that, I listened to Lateralus just last week. @Caz: true, the intros in Lateralus fit better, but I wouldn’t so harshly condemn the interludes of 10000. Anyway, "Spend less on my fucking lenses and artwork and glue the tracks together yourself" is too beautiful, so I support you (but I'm not supporting you...)!

@Caz: Lateralus wasn't that different in this regard...

@Prog: I care a lot about Zannab and I've held back my comments! I don't agree either, except for the fact that Lateralus is better (I actually consider it the peak). However, the opinion itself is fully respectable, and I also understand the lapses in attention he mentions (even though I didn't experience any during the listening). I would simply reduce it all to a matter of preferences: we're faced with two different ways of composing, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. I prefer the second, others the first...

@Prog: I'll take a look, even though 115 comments with anonymity are a lot! @Pretazzo: Are the burdèlli getting into electronics? Then I'll be old along with you!

Great Prog, I've been absent lately and I definitely missed the aforementioned discussion... Anyway, just to be clear, I'm (almost) a last-minute fan but I like all the last 4 albums (some more than others...).

See Michoos, if you preferred the sounds of Undertow, I imagine you might be disappointed with the recent works, but what I'm trying to say (perhaps in a convoluted way) is that the fans, whether young or old, new or not, who prefer this demo or 10,000 Days have nothing to do with all of this! If Tool have moved away from certain sounds, it’s because that was their artistic path, because that's what their heads told them to do, not because Keenan is taking a census of fans asking how long they’ve been listening to Tool. And anyway, I reiterate: you’re fed up with waiting, but if they had churned out a clone of 10,000 Days after a year, you’d be even more pissed off! Could it be that maybe you don't like Tool anymore...
