U2 All That You Can't Leave Behind
Voto:
Two friends meet in the middle of summer: "What are you doing in the city in August?" - "My wife is on vacation with the kids and left me at home to work and without a dime!" - "Then let's do this, tonight we're going to dinner at the most expensive restaurant in town!" - "But I told you I don't have a dime!" - "Don't worry! I have an infallible system for not paying the bill. Come with me." They enter a grocery store and buy a sausage. "Look, when we're at the end of the dinner, I put this in front of me, you take it in your mouth and pretend to give me a blowjob. You'll see they'll kick us out without making us pay!" So they go to the best restaurant in town, eat everything and drink even more; when the time to ask for the bill comes, the first guy pulls out the sausage, holding it at his groin, and the other one sucks it; at the objections of the other customers, the manager throws them out rudely, hurling them onto the sidewalk. "See, it works!?!?" - "Shit, it's true! Come on, let's try another restaurant!" And they go around to all the best places, always using the sausage method. Late at night, the two, drunk and exhausted, are sitting on the sidewalk of yet another restaurant. "I can’t take it anymore... I’ve drunk too much and my jaw hurts from sucking that sausage!" - "And what should I say, then, that I lost the sausage when they kicked us out of the first restaurant?" Ah, the record is beautiful, just like the review!

Super engaging review, as always when you write about angry bands, but I tried to listen to them on YouTube and... Well, let's just say I'm aging prematurely! :-)

The Desert Sessions Volumes 9 & 10

Damn, I was listening to it this morning in the car on my way to work! Spectacular, in Crawl Home the PJ is mind-blowing, it really makes you enjoy it, and the bass line in Subcutaneous Phat, once it gets in your head, it never leaves! Great, absolutely amazing album, probably the most enjoyable among the things Homme has done post-Kyuss.
Sparklehorse + Fennesz In The Fishtank 15

I listened to something on the tube, but to be honest, it didn't move me. I've always liked Sparklehorse, but Fennesz a bit less; he’s just too cerebral for my taste. Anyway, great respect for the In The Fishtank series that has come up with some really cool stuff, like Low+Dirty Three and from what little I've heard (I haven't bought it yet) also Motorpsycho+Jaga Jazzist!

And to think I believed you were almost human after your first review... But that's enough now, we already know how many hairs from Lennon’s ass Bono has collected!

Seen late, nice review trip, emotional softs on Debasio used to be more in fashion... Now I'm going to listen to it on the tube!
Vinicio Capossela Rebetiko Gymnastas
Voto:
I didn't really like the review much in terms of form, but it offers a nice insight (which few have grasped, preferring a sterile comparison already discussed...). I listened to the album without any expectations; I knew it was mostly covers and rearrangements, but in the end, it surprised me! Of course, it’s not groundbreaking, and some tracks are too close to the originals (like Con Una Rosa or Corre Il Soldato), but it gives a flavor to the music that is truly unique and greatly reminds of distant roots, as you mention in the review! Capossela has the knack for rediscovering long-forgotten sounds that give the listener a sense of belonging; they are not children of time, but children of the places where they were born, and all things considered, I like them a lot! ;-)

"Shit, it's Monday, the worst day of the week, and once again I'm eating my damn cold macaroni at my desk alone in the office... Come on, let’s at least take a look on Debasio, maybe I'll find something... Shit!!! A review of Grin Dei!!!!" Now that's what makes my day! ;-)

Oh yes, JuriZ, the review kinda sucks, but that's why I like it! I've listened to the Argentinians and they're good, but I think over time they might break a bit the sacred content of my scrotum... But why do those who sing in Spanish always have to yell???
