David Knopfler Wishbones
Voto:
Poor David, huh... Jokes aside, aside from some Dire Straits songs, I'm not really that fond of Mark Knopfler, so I don't think David can truly excite me. However, the review comparing the two isn't that bad; you could give it a 4.

Actually, there is no review, but the page is very intense :-) I know Porcupine, but I've never heard them. Do they get a little close to Signify? I loved that album to death.

Hey. It's true! cptgaio is right. What is it, the dwarfs are on vacation... I really want a nice review, I've never heard of Motorpsycho, I think they might be a bit too heavy for me... or am I wrong?

Dave, the Bermudas sound different from Gilmour. Gilmour had great taste (and there's no doubt about that, I believe) and good technique, but everything was always aimed at the end result (that is, the Pink Floyd signature track). The Bermudas, on the other hand, have a very different taste (let's just say they primarily use acoustic guitars, which would have taken away Gilmour's marvelous feedback) and play to give new life to songs that aren't theirs, but always in function of one or more guitars. This doesn’t mean the Bermudas are better than Gilmour at playing; it just means they have two completely different aims (and the aim of the Bermudas for a guitarist is downright alluring, I assure you!).

Oh, but does no one care about this song? I know that Bermuda may not be the most famous group in Italy, but the proposal was honestly more than intriguing. NoName, I totally agree about the live performance; I heard them on Radio Capital while driving, and I almost swerved to listen to them. Legendary! And since no one is paying attention to you, I'm voting for you again...take that!

I've always promised myself to listen to something of theirs, but I've never kept that promise. I liked the song where the video featured girls doing knife throwing... The review, no offense, but it's for the fans. Since I don't know the previous albums, I didn't really get it, but of course, that's my problem...

I've never been able to stand the Beatles, tastes differ. I too prefer other stuff from the same period, but, like the bands mentioned by vellutogrigio, they were doing different things; it doesn't seem fair to make comparisons. The review is strong; I can almost hear my girlfriend when she hushes me by saying that I'm old inside...
