I don’t want to stir controversy, but I believe that the issue of reviews passing to the homepage in the blink of an eye is another one: for example, right now, 8 out of 15 reviews are by RobyMichieletto. Now, I don’t want to blame RobyMichieletto nor tell anyone to stop reviewing (heaven forbid...) but I’ve been here for 3/4 months and I've only written 2 reviews. Moreover, I think I could have worked a bit more on them because they’re not great. So it’s only natural for me to wonder if 8 reviews forced to be submitted on the same day (because if they’re submitted weeks apart and sent all at once, someone’s got a screw loose) are really as ā€œenjoyableā€ as they should be in the end. I don’t think so. I’ll close the post by apologizing in advance to anyone who may feel offended by what I’ve said.

I had forgotten about the Zappian quote made by Dante! It might be partly true, but if people stopped talking about music, DeBaser would shut down and I wouldn't know what to do during breaks at work...

Well... What can I say? If this is your "not using words," I would say that despite everything, I quite like it. Congratulations! I wish I could find an album that I can't detach myself from without even knowing why. Who knows, maybe this is it...

"Doing something unpopular, not caring about what critics and the public will say, just to follow what you feel inside, I think that's the most artistic thing there is." I've never been very interested in Dylan (I don't even know what people are saying about this album or if what you're saying is a colossal load of nonsense), but for the sentence above, you deserve 5 Basilico, my friend!

I've always liked Ruggeri (not enough to go crazy, but I like him), but I've heard very little from Decibel, and maybe nothing from this album... However, the review is well written, good job. For curiosities about the cover, if you want, you can always find out in the posts... Bye.

So, I’ve read some of your other reviews and the related comments full of advice on how to improve your writing, and after reading this page, I immediately thought that they weren’t written in vain: you followed them! Of course, I don't expect you to become a professional reviewer overnight, but you’re improving, kid. Once a 3 was a sign of encouragement, this time you deserve a 3 and a little something more.

I heard them live doing covers of popular Italian songs (like the one that goes "mamma mia dammi 100 lire che in america voglio andar..."). He is a badass double bassist and she has a truly enchanting voice, but I don't know if I could sit through an entire album. Admirable, but to be taken in small doses.

Uxo, if it can comfort you, I've understood the meaning of distant notes. Just think of a couple of random melodic progressions from Pat (better if from Still Life Talking) and the idea of searching for the distant note materializes... Impeccable review, I'm almost getting tired of giving you 5s...
