Franco Battiato Live @ Vigevano, 18.07.2007

Beautiful, a bit long (I would have left the digression on De Gregori for a review of De Gregori) but beautiful. I saw him on Sunday in Faenza, it was indescribable! To be honest, I was among those who paid 46 euros to sit and enjoy the concert up close, and I was a bit "angry" with those who invaded the front row practically before the halfway point of the concert, so much so that Battiato himself invited them to sit down again after a couple of songs. The mysterious Mrs. Brown that Sgalambro talks about I believe is the wife of Gordon Brown, the new British Prime Minister. Here, he played for two and a half hours with a slightly different setlist (no Prospettiva Nevskji for example, but Gli Uccelli) but with the same brilliant stage design. However, at the end of the concert in Faenza, he started singing the beginning of Centro di Gravità Permanente and then said goodbye, leaving us to sing along with the band, an emotion that I will hardly forget.

Easy, it doesn't mean you shouldn't like it just because there's a ton of intimate stuff floating around lately. It's post-rock, that's how it is, and over time it can become a bit monotonous, but I usually give everything a chance. I might end up disappointed, but I prefer to try. Bye!

Beautiful! I have to listen to this, for me the post-rock season comes and goes, I'll find the right moment... Alessio, the itaGliano is a nasty beast, I know...

I found the poet! Obviously original. I'm listening to it right now, it seems deep and really intense. I stopped by to thank you and to compliment you once again. Bye!

I wish I could have been there too... I've never seen the Stones live, but when you say "an event that is not easily forgotten," I have no trouble believing you.

Maybe you're exaggerating (I don't know), but you do it well...
